This summer, Westminster Presbyterian is partnering with Reclaimed Hope Initiative to host Camp Hope’s seven-week day camp on our campus. Camp Hope is an inclusive summer program for children ages 4 to 12 who are navigating behavioral needs, mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and trauma. It offers trauma-competent programming designed to create access for children who may not be able to attend traditional summer camps.
Camp Hope centers its programming around twelve core mantras. These are powerful phrases that guide daily life at camp. They offer wisdom not only for children but for adults as well. Throughout the summer, we look forward to seeing how these values are lived out by the campers and counselors.
On Sunday mornings in worship, we will explore each mantra alongside stories from Scripture where children and youth play important roles. Together, we will discover how much we can learn from the campers, counselors, and families who know and love Camp Hope.

Enjoy this video from Camp Director Taylor Rolt as she introduces the first mantra: Be Kind, both with your words and your body. You’ll hear how this guiding phrase will be practiced by campers and counselors starting June 16.
