Westminster's Community Partners
Serving God in the Community
At Westminster, we believe that ministry extends beyond our own walls and into the heart of our community. Through partnerships with local organizations, we join together in meaningful work that supports children, families, and neighbors in need. These partnerships allow us to share God’s love in practical ways, whether it is providing food, shelter, education, or opportunities to grow and thrive.
We invite you to learn more about our community partners below and discover the many ways God is at work through these ministries. Together, we are building connections, offering hope, and serving both God and neighbor.

Ruth's W.A.R.M. House
In 2014 WARM (Waynesboro Area Refuge Ministry) began providing temporary cost-free shelter to homeless women and their children. Their goal is to give these women the opportunity to gain self-sufficiency and achieve long term housing stability. Families typically stay about six months, but circumstances may require longer or shorter stays. While housed families find a support system in place that provides meals, access to community referrals, classes in parenting, life skills, and finance, and help with transportation. WARM's goal is that this temporary housing and support assists in their transition to permanent stable housing. Westminster has co-sponsored a room with Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church since 2015. Besides sharing the yearly room cost, over the years Christmas gifts have been provided, items families needed to set up permanent housekeeping have been provided, and other assistance has been given. For more information you can visit the WARM website or contact Kay Adamson via the church office.
