April began serving at Westminster in August of 2015. She is from Boone, North Carolina where she grew up taking for granted the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Now, she enjoys living in the same Blue Ridge Mountains just a little further north in the Shenandoah Valley with her family. Her husband Reed is an avid fly fishermen and they have two daughters, River and Haven.

April received her Bachelor’s in Education at Appalachian State University and her Masters of Divinity from Union Seminary in Charlotte, NC. Since the age of 19, April has served in ministry at churches. She was a youth director for three years at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blowing Rock, seminary intern for five years at Indian Trial Presbyterian Church in Indian Trail, NC, CROSS Missions Director at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC for four years and lastly April served as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church in Fishersville, VA for seven years.

April enjoys walking, running, reading, serving in mission in the community and sipping coffee at any and all local coffee shops.
