Westminster offers two worship services each Sunday.churchpics4

We are one church that provides two worship services that vary in music and time, but the same in spirit and truth.  Whether you come at 9:00 a.m. through the red doors to enter the Chapel or come at 11:15 a.m. through the brown doors to enter the Sanctuary, our hope is that you will feel welcomed and loved.

Both services provide the same sermon, times of prayer, and the experience of many faithfilled voices to be heard in leadership throughout the service.  A children’s and youth choir along with the Parable Players, a youth drama team, enhance both services of worship with their gifts in the arts.

Sundays, 9:00 am, Chapel

The Red Door Service in the Chapel provides an intimate service for those who enjoy a relaxed style of worship.  The music includes upbeat praise singing by the Refuge band.  Prayers are offered weekly by
the lighting of candles. Coffee, juice and refreshments are available before and during the service.

Sundays, 11:15 am, Sanctuary

The Open Door service in the Sanctuary blends traditional and contemporary elements from unison prayers of confession to affirming our faith together.  Music includes leadership from many groups: Chancel Choir, Hearts of Praise Choir, and Hand Bell Choirs.  Large print bulletins and devices to assist
the hearing impaired are provided in the Sanctuary.

Our Chapel and Sanctuary are handicap accessible.

Both services offer a nursery for children who are under four years old.  A paid Nursery Attendant is on staff to greet parents and children each week and to provide a consistent face for children when they come to church.  The nursery uses a check in system where each child receives a sticker to wear during their time in the nursery.  A sticker with the same number is given to parents that must be presented at time of pick up.

During each service a children’s time offers a faith message given to and for children.  Following the children time, kids who are in preschool through 2nd grade can attend children’s church which includes Bible stories, crafts and games.

Prayer Ministry

If you have a joy or concern to be lifted up in prayer, here are a few ways we can pray for you:

Prayer Card- In the friendship registers that are passed down the pews/chairs each week there are prayer cards available. Fill one out and place it in the offering basket/plate during the service or give it to the pastor upon leaving.

Prayer Corner- In the weekly fridge news joys, concerns and bereavements are listed from prayers submitted through the prayer cards or by contacting the pastor.  These joys and concerns are lifted in worship each week and reviewed every two months for updates.

Prayer Chain- A team of thirty individuals pray through concerns confidentially. If you would like this prayer team to pray for a concern, please contact Pat Tuttel (pattin@ntelos.net) or the pastor.

Prayers in Confidence- Our pastor has a personal prayer list that is kept for confidential concerns. Please contact the pastor directly through email, phone or face to face conversation regarding these types of prayer requests.

Westminster Story

Westminster Story

One of my favorite things about Westminster is the talent and creativity of our members, and the freeness with which they share it.  It’s inspiring and fun, and motivates me to do the same!
