Care for Community

During this time we will post mission in our community on this page.  Please check back for new ways to share the love of Christ as we monitor the spread of the coronavirus in our area.

Saturday, March 28 – Update

Cards for the Hospital
During this time we all need extra encouragement, especially those who work in health care. A tub is located on the porch of Pastor April’s office to collect cards for the employees of Augusta Health. Please drop off cards during the week and Lisa Schwenk will pick up cards each Friday to deliver to workers. If you have any questions, please email Lisa at lisal.schwenk@gmail.com.

Tuesday, March 24 –  Update

Kid’s Artwork Needed
We would like to include artwork in all the bags this Saturday for our neighbors in our community.  If your kids would like to draw a picture or write an encouraging note, please place the artwork in a freezer bag and place it in a plastic bag on or before Friday morning on Pastor April’s office door.  If you would like to email a picture, we can have these printed in the office to include in the breakfast bags on Saturday at Basic UMC.  Email pictures to pastoraprilcranford@gmail.com. Thanks!

Homemade Masks Needed
from Lori Davis, Ok WPC we have a call to serve.
A local retirement community close by is out of masks. While I am aware that homemade masks are not CDC approved, having something to cover mouths would be better than the nothing they currently have. Debbie Russell and I plan to make some today. I have a rough template I can share.  Do I have some WPC seamstresses that would be willing to join our efforts? Please contact Lori Davis. Thanks WPC family!

Westminster Story

Westminster Story

One of my favorite things about Westminster is the talent and creativity of our members, and the freeness with which they share it.  It’s inspiring and fun, and motivates me to do the same!
