Leader: Praise God from the heavens!

*Unison Prayer of Confession
God of starlight, shine your love into the darkness of our lives. Preoccupied with ourselves, we forget the needs of others;
we participate in systems that oppress; we accept violence as a way of life;
we fail to respond to the cry of others. May your love wash away
our indifference and water the tender shoots of our care and compassion.
Nourished in the sunlight of your love, may we grow into people who live in righteousness
and who work for justice for all your children. Amen.

*Silent Prayer of Confession

 *Assurance of Pardon

*Westminster Greeting Please greet those who are in worship this morning.

*Affirmation of Faith                 Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Catholic Church;
the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
