Welcome and Opening Prayer

Call to Worship
Leader:         God calls us and moves us to worship with prayerful hearts.
People:          Open our ears to hear your still small voice.
All:                  Open our lives to embrace the joy of new life found in Christ.

*Hymn of Praise               Jesus Thou Loving Hearts                           Red #121

* Prayer of Confession

Loving God,

We know that relationships thrive when there is a consistent, honest and compassionate dialogue between two people.  Forgive us when we have failed to talk with you on a daily basis by offering up our praises and lifting up our concerns.  Strengthen us with your Spirit, when we feel our words are not eloquent enough to share privately or publicly, so we remain silent. Give us mercy, when our wrongs are too hard to bear and to rough to share.   Keep reminding us how to pray, to stay awake in our prayers, and that no concern is too big or too small for your care.  We rest in gratitude knowing that in our relationship with you, our voices are heard and our hearts are comforted. Amen.

*Silent Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon

*Westminster Greeting Please greet those who are in worship this morning.

*Affirmation of Faith                                                                    Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
