Blessing Box at Westminster

20191124_125752Westminster has a new outreach project that the entire membership can share.  It’s called a Blessing box, which is intended to provide needed resources to our nearby community.  The resources are primarily canned food products like soup, pasta, tuna and vegetables. The public in need will have access to the items via the Blessing box, which is a wooden structure, like a giant birdhouse.

It was designed and built by a Westminster Eagle Scout candidate Ben Miller.  He, along with mentoring by his dad, Michael and uncle Joe, have worked through the summer to provide this wonderful giving gift to Westminster.   The Blessing box is located on Mt. Vernon st. adjacent to the church office.

The members can share in this mission by helping supply canned food items year round.  Also others things that can be included in Westminster’s Blessing box are new or used clothing such as  jeans, sweatshirts, socks etc. In addition, personal hygiene items like toothpaste, hand soap, toothbrush, shampoo and the like are welcome.

If you have questions about this mission, please call Jack Hengert.
